Nursing Assistant - Neuro Reg Care 8T; 0.4 FTE; Day/PM Shifts
About the role
The Nursing Assistant (CNA) at UnityPoint Health-Meriter and UW Health is responsible for practicing and performing basic nursing assistant procedures as taught during their training and certification program. They are expected to practice medical asepsis, respect patient dignity and privacy, maintain objectivity, adhere to safety policies, and operate within their training scope.
Responsibilities
- Practice medical asepsis
- Respect the dignity and privacy of every patient
- Maintain objectivity during patient care
- Adhere to basic hospital safety policies and procedures
- Work under the close supervision of the Registered Nurse
- Receive specific work assignments, both written and oral
- Complete assigned tasks within scheduled shifts
Requirements
- State of Wisconsin certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- CPR certified or eligible for certification
- Available the first week of employment from 8AM - 4:30PM for CNA orientation

UnityPoint Health-Meriter and UW Health’s Neuro/Med-Surgical unit provides high-quality, compassionate care to complex neurological, medical, and surgical patients. The unit utilizes a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team approach.
Skills
Nursing assistants should have strong communication skills, physical stamina, and the ability to follow instructions.

Schedule
Shifts are 8 & 12 hour days and PMs, rotating weekends and holidays. Hours per week: 16
