Nursing Assistant (NA) PRN

Location: St. Charles, MO

Schedule: PRN Day or Night (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM) with $1.50 night-shift differential and $0.75 weekend differential

Compensation: $22 per hour (PRN rate) plus a $1,500 sign-on bonus

About the role

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical-illness recovery hospital dedicated to world-class inpatient post-ICU care for chronically, critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Nursing Assistants (NAs) provide compassionate, excellent care during some of the most vulnerable moments in patients’ lives.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient services including basin-less bathing, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from treatment centers; assist with moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED OR 3+ years of relevant work experience
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant
• Certification as a nursing assistant
• Experience in a related field (e.g., medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
