Nursing Assistant (NA) - Per Diem Nights
About the role
Select Specialty Hospital - Dallas Plano is a critical illness recovery hospital committed to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. As a critical illness recovery hospital, we help patients during some of the most vulnerable, painful moments of their lives - and our Nursing Assistants (NA) play a central role in providing compassionate, excellent care every step of the way.
Responsibilities
- Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
- Participate in hourly rounds
- Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
- Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
- Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
- Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications include a high school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years). Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant). BLS is required within 90 days of hire.

Pay and Schedule
This is a PRN/Per Diem position with 12-hour Night Shifts, offering a compensation of $22.00 per hour.
