Nursing Assistant (NA)-Medical Step Down Unit
Performs specific responsibilities under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse. Functions within the framework of the NAI listing granted by the NC Department of Health and Human Services. Practices within the philosophy and goals of patient care services. May also be utilized in the Observer Role responsible for monitoring one or more assigned patients on a designated unit for a specified time period.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED (preferred) or higher
- NAI listing with NC Department of Health and Human Services (required)
- Current American Heart Association HeartSaver or higher certification (required)
- De-escalation training (Non-violent crisis intervention or other de-escalation program adopted by ECU Health). If not current at the time of hire, must complete within 90 days of employment and maintain without lapse during employment. (Not required for Ambulatory clinical positions)
Schedule
- Part-time: 0.6 FTE (2) 12-hour shifts per week
- Shift: Night
- Weekends: Yes
