Nursing Assistant (NA) - Full-time Day

About the role

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital committed to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. Nursing Assistants play a central role in delivering compassionate, excellent care during some of the most vulnerable moments of patients’ lives.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient services including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers; assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 3+ years of relevant work experience
• BLS required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant
• Certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (e.g., medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)

Pay

$19.70–$24.00 per hour; pay based on years of experience. $3,000 sign-on bonus.
