Job Summary
We’re looking for a compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our family in an inpatient setting. A Nursing Assistant provides patient-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), and is essential to keeping the unit functioning smoothly. Pay & Benefits
Salary Range: $16.50 - $24.00
Pay Info: Experience credit added to wage
Department Details: ND CNA license or experience required to be considered. Position is scheduled based on department needs with every 4th weekend required. Fast paced job with a focus on teamwork. Treat neuro medical and neurosurgery patients as well as a mix of a variety of general Med-Surg patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with basic health care needs including bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating, while supporting emotional and spiritual needs
- Record vital statistics, blood glucose levels, and other basic health information
- Aid with patient transfers and ambulation
- Perform clerical work related to scheduling and documenting patient healthcare
- Prepare and clean patient treatment areas, living areas, and medical equipment
- Dispose of biomedical waste in accordance with standards and policy
Qualifications
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
