Nursing Assistant I REX 3 WEST
Responsibilities
Aid physicians and other healthcare providers with routine examinations and procedures, procure equipment and supplies during emergencies, assist in behavior modification plans/therapy, provide informal support therapy, facilitate play for children, monitor therapeutic activities, observe and collect patient information, document significant changes, assist with patient admissions, provide care/treatments as outlined in the plan of care, perform vital sign measurements, height and weight assessments, specimen collection, skin preps/scrubs, catheter care, capillary blood glucose checks, wound care, range of motion exercises, postural drainage, and supportive patient/family interactions, provide direct personal care, perform indirect care tasks, reinforce teaching from nurses and physicians, distribute patient education materials.
Requirements
- Licensed Nursing Assistant I with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Fluent in verbal and written English
- Ability to develop basic computer skills
Qualifications
No formal education required, but preference for six (6) months of nursing assistant experience.
