Presbyterian Homes - Optage Home Health is seeking a Full-Time Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide to join the team. This position will float to needed locations in the Twin City area. Must provide own transportation; mileage reimbursement is available. Flexibility to work approximately 32-40 hours weekly is desired. Business operations are Monday-Friday; no weekends required.

About the role

As an Optage caregiver, you will serve clients in various locations in the Minnesota metro area, providing individualized one-on-one care. Schedules are designed to minimize travel. Nursing Assistant training is required, but candidates do not have to be active on the MN NAR Registry to qualify.

Responsibilities

The Home Health Certified Nursing Assistant is a paraprofessional member of the Interdisciplinary team who works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include performing various services for the client as assigned to meet personal needs while maintaining consistency with regulations and best practices. Care is provided in the patient’s home, which may be a personal residence, group home, assisted living, or skilled nursing setting.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program and current certification in the state(s) of practice OR successful completion of a home health aide instruction course and competency testing to work in Home Care
  • Demonstrated competencies in person-directed, elder/resident-directed practice, home building, critical thinking, teamwork, self-leadership, and interpersonal effectiveness
  • Demonstrated compatibility with the PHS mission and operating philosophies
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to communicate with all customers

Pay

The estimated starting pay range for this role is $22.60 - $24.25 per hour. The actual pay depends on individual qualifications and market conditions.
