Nursing Assistant - Full Time Plus - Neuroscience (Night Shift)
Summary of the Job
The Nursing Assistant assists the nursing staff in performing routine patient care for a group of patients for a designated period of time.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent required.
- Current certification validated from the State of Louisiana Board of Examiners or must be currently enrolled in an NLN accredited RN program, in good standing and completed the first hospital-based clinical rotation.
- Current BLS through the American Heart Association.
- Good communication skills.
- Able to meet weekend and holiday requirements.
Physical Demands
- Must possess good physical health.
- Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time.
- Lifting at least 50 pounds is required.
- Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
Physical Effort Required
- Constant (67%-100%): seeing
- Frequently (34%-66%): lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, reaching, handling/feeling, talking and hearing
- Occasionally (1%-33%): climbing (stairs, ladders, etc.), stooping and crouching
