About the role

Ensures patients and families have a positive experience by exhibiting alertness, collaboration, teamwork, and a positive attitude.

• Runs errands and prepares and sterilizes treatment trays and supplies.
• Stocks supplies.
• Ensures a safe care environment for patients and their families.
• Performs continuous rounds and check-ins throughout the shift to ensure patient and family needs are met.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or GED required.

About The Team

Our NICUs are sophisticated intensive care units offering technologically advanced equipment and cutting-edge therapies. Our NICU medical teams are on-site around the clock and attend every delivery where postnatal complications are possible. Patient care is dynamic and personalized, emphasizing Family-Centered Care, with parents and families integral to the healing process.

• Goryeb Children’s Hospital, Morristown Medical Center: 34-bed Level III NICU, designated a Regional Perinatal Center by the New Jersey Department of Health.
• Overlook Medical Center: 15-bed Level III NICU.
• Chilton Medical Center: Level II Special Care Nursery for infants born at a gestational age of greater than 31 weeks requiring critical care.
• Newton Medical Center: Level II Intermediate Care Nursery staffed by in-house pediatric hospitalists.

Both Level III NICUs are equipped to care for extremely premature infants and babies with a wide variety of illnesses, genetic conditions, and surgical requirements. Neonatologists and advanced neonatal practitioners are on-site 24 hours a day to provide continuity of care and coordinate with other pediatric subspecialists.
