Nursing Assistant Days
Employment Type: Full time, 12 Hour Day Shift
About the role
At Saint Francis Hospital the Nursing Assistant is responsible for assisting physicians while providing exceptional treatment to patients with a variety of medical conditions.
Responsibilities
- Collect and report patient information and data
- Help patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, diet, fluid intake, skin care, bathing and dressing, positioning, transfers, mobility and ambulation
- Patient Transport
- Collection of specimens
- Distribution of linens and supplies to patient rooms
- Deliver ice and beverages to patients
- As assigned, stays with at-risk patients to monitor patient safety
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of a Connecticut approved Nurse Aide Training Program preferred or in process of earning a BA in Nursing OR Health Sciences with at least one clinical completed OR significant previous healthcare related experience
- Proof with college transcript required OR have significant nurse assistant/healthcare related experience
- BLS certification required
- Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant in an acute care setting preferred
- Ability to pass drug screening and background check
Schedule
Full-time, 36 hours per week, day shift, 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., work weekends/holidays as scheduled
