Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Long Term Care - Fulltime
About the role
This CNA works on a casual basis, picking up shifts as needed to support staffing needs at this location. Some weekends and holidays are required.
Responsibilities
- Provides personal hygiene care
- Serves the needs of residents in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort
- Recognizes and deals with the problems of the aging process
- Reports changes in resident condition to shift nurse
- Maintains a safe, clean, attractive, and neat environment for the residents
- Awareness of and prevention of the abuse of vulnerable adults
- Awareness of and prevention of safety hazards and emergency situations
Requirements
No educational requirements. Must be certified as a nursing assistant, or must have completed or be currently enrolled in a CNA course, with the ability to be certified within 4 months.
Qualifications
Must be aware of and prevent the abuse of vulnerable adults in the care of the Essentia Health skilled nursing facility. Must maintain awareness of safety issues and strive to accomplish all responsibilities in a safe manner. Must identify safety hazards and emergency situations and initiate corrective actions.
