Nursing Assistant, Certified, Home Health - PRN
About the role
Performs tasks as delegated and indicated on the care plan for assigned patients under the supervision of a registered nurse. The Nursing Assistant (NA) will understand the basic elements of body functioning, including the physical and emotional changes that occur in the death and dying process. Delivers age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of the patient per care plan. Assists patients in daily living activities such as dressing and undressing, bathing, and eating. Maintains good interpersonal skills, is courteous and caring, and must know medical terminology, organizational policies, and procedures. Requires ability to do detailed work correctly, function under and handle stress, and work with the growth and development needs of all client and patient populations.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities including dressing, undressing, bathing, and eating.
- Understand and support patients through physical and emotional changes, including those in the death and dying process.
- Deliver care aligned with the patient’s care plan and age-specific needs.
- Follow organizational policies and procedures and maintain required competencies and certifications.
Requirements
- Completion of a 75-hour nurse assistant course.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) registration and state Department of Health registration.
- Valid driver’s license.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, no nights or weekends, no on-call.
- 8-hour day shifts.
- PRN schedule with flexible scheduling.
Pay
- Salary range: $17.00 – $25.50 per hour.
