About the role
The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides safe basic care to patients, including taking vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observing patients for physical or emotional changes. Other duties include recording information in patient charts, communicating with the Patient Care Team for continuity of care, and providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary by department.
Requirements
- CNA – Certified Nursing Assistant (preferred)
- CPR – American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 6 months of experience in a clinical healthcare environment (required for uncertified nursing assistants)
- 6 months of experience supporting physical, emotional, and psycho-social needs of patients
Pay
Expected pay for this position is $18.98 - $22.34/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills, and internal equity.
