About the role
The Nursing Assistant (NA) at Sanford Health's Bemidji Behavioral Crisis Center serves as a caregiver to patients during their scheduled work period. They provide patient-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with basic health care needs including daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, toileting, eating, meal preparation and dining needs.
- Administer delegated tasks and treatments.
- Record vital statistics and other basic health information.
- Collect non-invasive biological specimens from patients as needed.
- Perform clerical work related to scheduling and documenting patient healthcare.
- Prepare patient treatment areas for use; prepare and clean medical equipment; dispose of biomedical waste in accordance with standards and policy.
- Clean patient living areas or treatment rooms.
Requirements
- Must be able to acquire a basic knowledge of patient care principles, medical terminology and equipment within the assigned service area.
- Certification and registration with the Minnesota Board of Nursing Assistant Registry is preferred.
- Certification is required if designated by law (i.e. Home Care).

Salary Range: $20.02 - $26.21
