Responsibilities

• Provides and documents patient care under the direction of the registered or licensed practical nurse and as outlined in the plan of care.
• Assists with tasks such as meals, bathing, ambulating, toileting, and turning and repositioning.
• Maintains patient stability by checking and recording vital signs and documenting intake and output.
• Promotes patient comfort by answering call lights (if applicable to work area) and communicating observations or patient needs to the nursing staff.
• Contributes to a safe and efficient admission, transfer, and/or discharge process.
• Maintains patient rights to comfort, privacy, and dignity in the process of providing care.
• Creates and maintains a clean and safe environment on the unit and within patient rooms and areas that protects patients from harm.
• Fulfills other duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

• Must be certified as a Nurse Aide by the Department of Health Professions of Virginia.
• AHA BLS CPR Completion preferred.
• At least 1 year of recent acute care experience.
• Valid Virginia Driver’s License required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED.

Salary Range: $17.19-$24.93
