Nursing Adjunct Per diem Instructor for Samaritan School/College of Nursing

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate classes (labs) and clinical experiences for nursing students based on a curriculum plan with outcomes and objectives.
• Show specialized professional knowledge in area of expertise as designated by teaching assignment.
• Show general knowledge in nursing practice.
• Able to analyze, develop, implement, evaluate, and revise classes, clinical experiences, and curricula.
• Be computer literate on hire and required to maintain the position.
• Model and support patient/client advocacy, respect, and confidentiality.
• Solve problems by organization, review, and proper selection of standard procedures.
• Show creative problem-solving and high level of autonomy.
• Organize and prioritize activities on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Support the implementation of the curricular and department goals.
• Respond to change with flexibility.
• Show clinical knowledge, teaching ability, and effective communication skills.

Requirements

• MSN required or enrolled in current MSN program.
• 5+ years nursing experience.
• Valid NYS Nursing License.

Pay

Pay Range: $27.55 – $44.09 for exp based Benefit FTE positions FLAT rate $50.00hr for per diem - subject to change Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
