Nursing, Adjunct

The College of Mathematics and Science at the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) seeks to hire adjunct faculty members who can provide a quality learning experience for students on a semester basis. Adjunct faculty members report to a dean or chair and perform instruction-related duties and responsibilities in alignment with the college's mission, policies, and procedures.

About the Role

This posting is to create a pool of interested applicants from which the Department may draw as sections become open throughout the current academic year. This posting may or may not result in the hiring of adjuncts.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate clinical and/or laboratory classes in Nursing.
• Supervise clinical groups in various healthcare settings.
• Direct and coach students in the care of clients and the development of nursing skills.
• Evaluate students' nursing competencies and professional behaviors.
• (Some positions may include) Teaching lecture classes in Nursing.

Qualifications/Experience

• Possesses at least a master's degree in the field specified in the position announcement (exceptions require Academic Affairs approval).
• Possesses excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• (Preferred) Master’s degree in Nursing and previous Clinical Nursing experience required.
• Current Oklahoma RN license, CPR, vaccination status, and tuberculosis testing required.
