Nursing Adjunct/Affiliate
About the role
Cornestone University invites candidates to apply for a part-time adjunct or affiliate nursing instructor position. Current opportunities include clinical instruction and classroom teaching, specifically in the areas of Adult Health Nursing and Mental Health Nursing.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement curricula in order to prepare students adequately for the challenges presented within all aspects of the nursing field.
- Supervise and actively engage with students in the clinical setting, ensuring the safe delivery of nursing care.
- Collect and submit student assessment and evaluation materials.
Requirements
- Possess at least a master’s degree in nursing (MSN) with preference for a PhD in Nursing or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree.
- A Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) with experience directly related to the clinical site may be considered for clinical instructor positions only.
- An active RN license in the state of Michigan.
- Nursing education experience and a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching are preferred, with preference given to individuals who can teach Adult Health and Mental Health topics.
- Demonstrate a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching.
Qualifications
- Physical requirements include the ability to teach up to 9 credits/semester of classes and labs on campus, use computers, operate lab equipment, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Candidates will be asked if they are authorized to work in the US.
