Nurses Aide -Medical Surgical Transplant -Nights
About the role
Be an Advocate, a Care Taker, a Friend to Patients on 7 North, a Medical-Surgical Transplant unit at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. As a certified nurses aide, you’ll thrive at the bedside as an invaluable care provider and serve as a critical point of contact for patients and their families. Partner with Nurses, ICU Technicians, and more to monitor vital signs, ensure meal delivery, and provide safe transport. Infuse energy and hospitality into each patient’s day while maintaining a compassionate focus and performing select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate patient care and improve the patient experience
- Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment
- Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration, and blood pressure
- Assist with meal delivery and safe patient transport
- Demonstrate teamwork and raise the standard for patient care
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association
- Previous Nurse’s aide experience in a hospital setting or certification from an approved accredited Nurse Aide training program or currently enrolled in a BSN program for nursing at the junior year level or completion of at least one clinical practicum
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one year of experience as a certified nurses aide
Schedule
Full-time night shift position, including rotating weekends and holidays.
Pay
Salary range: $29.02–$34.85 per hour.
