About the role

We are looking for a Nursery Cook to join our team. This role involves preparing nutritious meals and snacks for children in our early years childcare and education services.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook balanced, healthy meals and snacks for children in accordance with nutritional guidelines.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety in the kitchen.
• Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels.
• Accommodate dietary requirements and allergies as needed.
• Work collaboratively with nursery staff to ensure meals align with the daily schedule.

Requirements

• Experience in catering or cooking, preferably in a childcare or educational setting.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards (e.g., Level 2 Food Safety certification).
• Ability to plan and prepare meals that meet nutritional guidelines for young children.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Pay

£19,734 per annum.

Schedule

27.5 hours per week.

Location: St Marks Road, Chaddesden, Derby.
