Nursery Assistant

About the role

This temporary Nursery Assistant role is based in Wimbledon. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care, supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing within a safe, nurturing and stimulating nursery environment.

Responsibilities

• Providing high-quality care and support to children
• Planning and supporting engaging activities appropriate to children's ages and stages of development
• Supporting children's learning and development
• Maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment
• Building positive relationships with children, parents/carers and colleagues
• Following nursery policies and safeguarding procedures
• Planning age-appropriate activities
• Maintaining a clean and welcoming space
• Building positive relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting
• Fully enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to pay for and complete a new enhanced DBS check before commencing employment
• Ability to provide contact details for references covering the last 5 years

Qualifications

• Relevant childcare qualification (e.g. Level 2 in Early Years/Childcare)

Pay

£12.71 per hour (through Pertemps Croydon)
