Responsibilities
- Supports students and the school community with health needs
- Administers medication as needed
- Provides first aid as necessary
- Maintains immunization records
- Documents workers compensation claims
- Uses computers for various administrative tasks
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in nursing, with bachelor’s degree within 10 years of initial teaching certificate issuance
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Licensed Registered Nurse with Oklahoma School Nurse Certification
- Valid certification in First Aid/CPR/AED
- Two years’ school nurse experience (preferred)
- Two years’ supervisory experience
Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite
- Bilingual in Spanish (plus)
Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of school health policies and procedures
