About the role
A Nurse Technician who excels in this role:
- Provides basic patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Makes sure to monitor and record vital signs, intake and output, and report any changes in patient condition to nursing staff.
- Assists patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, toileting, eating, and moving around.
- Observes and promptly reports any unusual physical, mental, or emotional findings.
- Maintains patient rooms and common areas to ensure they are clean, safe, and organized.
- Supports nursing and physician staff with patient care activities and unit workflow.
- Manages tech desk operations and assists with maintaining efficient department throughput.
- Documents patient care and activities according to hospital and unit standards.
- Participates in required education, competency validation, and performance improvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Education:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Certifications:
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- A Handle with Care certification is preferred.
