Nurse Technician - Med-Surg Miner 7 - Full-Time - Nights

Responsibilities

• Be an advocate and care taker at the bedside.
• Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment.
• Contribute to a team environment and raise the bar for patient care.

Required Criteria

• Minimum one-year experience as Nurse Technician, Patient Care Technician or Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting.
• High school diploma or GED or relevant work experience.
• Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Technician/Patient Care Technician Program or Nursing Assistant, EKG, and Phlebotomy Program or Medical Assistant Program.
• Nurse Technician/ Patient Care Technician or Nursing Assistant, EKG, and Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant certificate.
• Current BLS from the American Heart Association.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, move, and position patients of all weights with varying amounts of assistance in a fair manner on a regular and recurring basis.
• Dexterity of fingers, hands, arms and feet with sensory requirements of speech, touch, vision and hearing to normal range with corrections.

Pay

$29.68-$32.43/Hourly

Schedule

This position is a full-time night shift (11:45PM-7:45AM), 3 weekends per schedule located at New York-Presbyterian\Brooklyn Methodist.
