Nurse Supervisor (RN) - Part Time - Nights

About the Role

Works under the supervision of the Director of Nursing and/or Nurse Managers and assumes responsibility for the smooth and effective operation of the hospital in the absence of the Administrator and/or Director of Nursing. Assists team members in the interpretation and application of facility policy. Coordinates the provision of appropriate staffing levels and resources for quality patient care. Makes rounds throughout the facility to assess operations and respond to situations. This position requires the ability to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served within the facility. The Nursing Supervisor may work in various settings and roles within Riverside Health System, performing RN duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Delegate and prioritize tasks to ensure quality patient care and meet all patient needs.
• Recognize and respond to emergency situations.
• Identify and report variances, providing resolutions as needed.
• Investigate nursing errors, complaints, and patient/visitor accidents, counseling personnel when appropriate.
• Demonstrate positive leadership by developing and educating staff on policies, procedures, best practices, and strategic goals.
• Direct hospital administration and operations efficiently and professionally.
• Notify the administrator on-call/management team as per hospital procedure.
• Round on all units, assist in planning and evaluating nursing care, problem-solving, interpreting policies, and assigning patient rooms.
• Exercise good judgment in staffing and patient care decisions.
• Communicate and document changes in staffing, patient care, sick callouts, etc., accurately and consistently with RHS standards.

Qualifications

• Education: Registered Nurse (Required), Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
• Experience: Acute Care (Preferred)
• Licenses and Certifications:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) (Required)
  • CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) (Required)

Pay

Hiring Range: $43.40 - $59.68/Hourly. Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.
