Nurse Supervisor

RN Supervisor Responsibilities

• Accountable for the administrative, clinical, and professional development of facility personnel for the designated shift.
• Coordinates, directs, and oversees all aspects of the delivery of nursing care.
• Demonstrates competence in leadership and relevant clinical experience.
• Collaborates with physicians and other health care professionals; complies with orders in a timely manner.
• Counsels staff on clinical issues and provides ongoing education.
• Conducts unit rounds, ensuring that clinical practices are delivered within the facility's established standards of care.
• Maintains standards of care in accordance with regulatory agencies.

RN Supervisor Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse License.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work as part of a team while managing multiple tasks in a safe and effective manner.
• Courteous and professional with an exceptional "bedside manner."
• A high tolerance for working under pressure and handling critical situations.
• The ability to effectively communicate with a diverse workforce and clientele through sound business decisions, diplomacy, and discretion.
