Role Overview: This position involves providing direct nursing care within the Women's Special Care department, working primarily night shifts with differential pay. The nurse will deliver safe, individualized care across diverse age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, following hospital policies and departmental procedures. Key Responsibilities Perform patient assessments and deliver direct care, ensuring safety and comfort.Implement and document personalized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, including discharge planning and patient education.Assist with tests, procedures, and medication administration, including IV medications, adhering to the Seven Rights.Maintain accurate medical records and respond to inquiries via telephone or triage calls.Participate in orientation and serve as a preceptor for new staff after training completion.Support emergency measures and ensure a safe, therapeutic environment.Contribute to professional development through ongoing education and training.Promote patient safety by following policies, reporting concerns, and encouraging patient participation in care. Qualifications & Skills Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program; RN licensure in NM or reciprocal agreement.CPR/BLS certification within 30 days; bilingual skills in English and Spanish are a plus.No minimum experience required; strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, and communication skills.Physical ability to perform heavy work and work in environments with biohazards requiring PPE.
