About the role
This position oversees the operations and staffing during assigned shifts ensuring efficiency across the entire hospital. It organizes, directs, and controls the operation of a 24/7 Psychiatric Hospital serving adult psychiatric patients. This role requires a high degree of autonomy, independent decision making, and strong leadership to ensure staffing levels meet regulatory and operational requirements.
Responsibilities
- Organizes, directs, and controls the operation of a 24/7 Psychiatric Hospital serving adult psychiatric patients.
- Aids in policy development.
- Coaches employees.
- Ensures compliance with all pertinent regulatory bodies.
- Responsible for the care and safety of all patients at the hospital.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Current West Virginia licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experiences as a Registered Nurse.
- Three (3) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as a Registered Nurse and/or a specialty nursing classification (i.e. Charge Nurse, Infection Control Nurse, QAPI Nurse, etc.) may substitute for the required experience.
Qualifications
- Graduate coursework toward a degree in Nursing or a related field may substitute for required experience on a year-for-year basis or as determined by the Office of Shared Administration Equivalency Chart.

Pay
The position qualifies for an appointment incentive of $13,500, to the selected applicant who agrees to work for the facility for a minimum of twelve (12) months.
