As our Nurse Shift Manager, you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that impacts our patients' well-being and recovery. To thrive in this role, you will lead the unit’s nursing operations during your assigned shift, overseeing care delivery and coordinating the efforts of the nursing team. You will be responsible for acuity-based patient assignments, matching care needs with staff expertise to ensure optimal outcomes. Acting as a proactive shift lead, you will manage resource allocation, oversee supply levels, and ensure precise documentation for seamless transitions between shifts.
Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing staff assigned to a particular shift.
- Assign patients to available nursing staff, considering the patient's condition and the employee's skill level.
- Assess, monitor, and educate the nursing staff on patient care.
- Institute emergency procedures as necessary.
- Anticipate staffing needs and respond proactively.
- Oversee stocking of supplies and updating patient records to prepare the nursing floor for subsequent shifts.
Requirements
- Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience as a registered nurse.
- Current and active Registered Nurse license in California.
- AHA Basic Life Support certification.
- AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
- AHA Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification.
- Fire Safety certification (within 90 days of hire).

Pay
$60.65 - $92.23 per hour.
