About the role

Responsibilities
- Provide basic emergency care for illness or injury
- Maintain student health records
- Order and maintain necessary supplies and equipment in the health office
- Maintain cleanliness of the health office
- Prepare bulletin board displays
- Other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Experience working with students with diabetes
- Experience working in a Windows environment
- Experience working cross-culturally or commitment to improve cultural competence
- CPR/AED certification
- First Aid certification
- Prior experience working with school age children preferred
- Fluency in Spanish or Hmong desired
- Experience working in middle or high school setting as nurse's assistant
- Demonstrated skill working in fast-paced environments
Qualifications
- Licensed RN, LPN, or completed MATC-MMSD School Nurse's Assistant course within the last two years
- Able to type at least 40 words per minute

- Ability to work independently and direct others

- Manual dexterity for completing general tasks

Schedule
The position may require working evenings, nights, and some weekends. Hybrid work flexibility may be available for a portion of the work schedule, depending on the needs of the position and the work unit.
