Nurse RN or LPN 3:00pm to 11:00 pm Full Time Rotating Weekends WSAC

While performing your day-to-day nursing duties, you will perform very little to no bedside care. This role requires excellent nurses who are willing to critically think, follow policy and procedures, and work as part of a team.

About the Role

Gaudenzia’s Mission is to promote long-term recovery by providing comprehensive treatment and support to people with substance use disorder, co-occurring mental health disorders, and related conditions, regardless of individual circumstances.

Pay

• LPN: $31.36 - $33.51 per hour
• RN: $34.38 - $46.26 per hour

Schedule

• 3rd Shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
• Required to work rotating weekends, including one off-shift per week to ensure program coverage
• May be required to work shifts outside of assigned shifts during critical staffing shortages
• Minimum holiday requirement: 1 major summer holiday (Memorial Day, July 4th, or Labor Day) and 1 major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s Day; night shift: New Year’s Eve)
• Other holidays will be rotated among all staff
• Essential position: required to work during inclement weather
• For Gaudenzia sites with multiple programs, may be required to work in any program based on staffing needs
• PRN positions require a minimum of 3 shifts per month

Qualifications

Education/Training:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing
• Must have a good standing LPN or RN license valid in the state of practice
• Current CPR Certification

Experience:

• Substance Use Disorder and/or Mental Health/Co-occurring Disorders experience is strongly preferred
• LPN 1: Recent graduate up to one (1) year of experience
• LPN 2: Two (2) to five (5) years of nursing experience, with one (1) year in addictions, mental health, or related specialty
• LPN 3: Five (5) or more years of nursing experience, with two (2) years in addictions, mental health, or related specialty
• RN 1: Recent graduate up to one (1) year of experience
• RN 2: Two (2) to five (5) years of nursing experience, with one (1) year in addictions, mental health, or related specialty
• RN 3: Five (5) or more years of nursing experience, with two (2) years in addictions, mental health, or related specialty

Responsibilities

• Perform initial nursing assessment for clients within 24 hours of admission in accordance with established program policies and state regulation
• Arrange appropriate appointments with healthcare providers to secure complete physical examinations, required health screenings, and supplemental tests
• Administer medications and supervise self-administered medications where appropriate and allowed by regulation
• Maintain adequate inventory of medical supplies and accurate records in compliance with governing regulations and agency policy
• Counsel clients on nutrition, healthcare, self-care, and symptom management
• Ensure clients have appropriate medical coverage to guarantee safety, adequate care, and provider compliance for payment
• Ensure proper storage of supplies as required by regulation
• Assist in the facilitation of special events, including staff training, staff retreats, workshops, and facility events
• Implement health seminars on topics such as HIV/AIDS, nutrition, medication education, infectious diseases, and mental health
• Participate in treatment/multidisciplinary team meetings as directed
• Implement and ensure adherence to infection control policies and practices
• Provide education for clients regarding health, nutrition, safety, and medication compliance
• Maintain LPN/RN license in good standing
• Other related duties as assigned by Nurse Manager or designee
