About the role

The Nursing Staff – RN/LPN Supervisor position at Necco Center is responsible for overseeing nursing operations, ensuring the provision of quality care, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Administers medication and provides basic and emergency nursing care to residents.
  • Performs initial nursing assessments for registered nurses within 24 hours of admission.
  • Collaborates with the Nursing Supervisor and medical sources to coordinate medical treatment for residents.
  • Trains staff on various nursing-related issues and attends Treatment Team Meetings.
  • Maintains regular contact with medical and psychiatric consultants and participates in Quality Assurance committees.
  • Completes charting of services and assesses staff injuries, recommending appropriate medical attention.
  • Provides 24/7 coverage for registered nursing staff, with an on-call rotation to ensure continuous coverage.

Requirements

  • Holds a current Ohio Nursing License (RN or LPN).
  • One-year experience preferred.
  • Adult/Child CPR/First Aid certified.
  • Exhibits pleasant and professional interactions with colleagues, physicians, providers, agencies, patients, and families.
  • Capable of carrying/lifting/transferring up to 50 lbs., interacting with various body fluids/blood/tissue, and seeing/hearing/feeling/vocalizing.
  • May be exposed to fumes/odors and requires regular attendance at required training sessions.
  • Must complete criminal background checks, including FBI, BCI, ARCS, SACWIS, Alleged Perpetrator Search, and National Sex Offender Registry Search.
