About the role
Casa Arena is a long-term care facility seeking compassionate individuals to join our team. We serve our residents daily with a Spirit of Excellence and are looking for nurses who genuinely care about providing outstanding resident care. We welcome multi-state license holders and new graduates, including LVNs. On-the-spot interviews are available at 205 Moonglow St., Alamogordo, NM 88310.
Responsibilities
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, positive clinical outcomes and resident/family satisfaction during supervisory shift.
- Serve as a resource to all staff within the facility regarding the quality of services provided.
- Provide direct resident care when required.
- Administer medications and treatments timely and according to facility policy.
- Receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders, if allowed by Nurse Practice Act.
- Effectively manage nursing personnel on shift to limit use of overtime and agency personnel.
- Assess the work performance of nursing staff as it relates to unit standards of care and goals.
- Conduct regular staff meetings on each shift and provide updates to the Director of Nursing (DON).
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved Registered Nurse program and licensed in the state of practice (required).
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (preferred).
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required for all SNFs; ALFs as required by state).
