Nurse - RN

Responsibilities

• Affords assistance in the total patient care within the nursing unit and oversees the unit.
• Delivers direct nursing care to the patients.
• Executes administrative and patient care duties as per the direction from the ADON or DON.
• Serves as supervisor and assumes responsibility for the actions and care provided by the nurse aides, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
• Administers medication and treatments according to physician orders specific to the patient.
• Instructs and monitors the implementation of care as per physician/clinician or standard of practice.
• Aids and directs the admission/discharge processes of patients.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing and holds a current license in the state of practice.
• Maintains licensure and completes required continuing education (CE) and CPR certification.
• Desires to work with the elderly and enjoys interacting with residents, staff, and families.
• Possesses good organizational skills and follows up on patient situations as necessary.
