NURSE- RESIDENTIAL SERVICES PROGRAM

About the role

The goal of this position is to ensure that the group home's medical-related policies and procedures align with best practices, are maintained, and comply with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe environment for staff and participants.
• Affirm and document each resident's healthcare goals and objectives.
• Assess and monitor medical policies and practices for compliance.
• Regularly evaluate and update staff training needs.
• Maintain compliance with state nursing license and other regulatory requirements.
• Participate in Gracehaven events and supervisory/team meetings.
• Assist with client examinations and procedures, as needed.
• Collaborate with the client's care team, outside providers, and family members.
• Communicate with the youth's service team during monthly staffings and quarterly ISP reviews.
• Be available as part of the 24x7 on-call schedule for medical escalations.
• Work with other nursing and medical services to ensure on-call services are available.
• Maintain compliance with state nursing license and other regulatory agencies.
• Attend Residential Services Team meetings and Organization All Staff meetings.
• Assist in all Gracehaven fundraising events.
• Participate in bi-weekly supervision.

Qualifications

• Licensed as an LPN or RN in the state of Ohio.
• One (1) year of nursing experience.
• Training and/or experience in working with traumatized adolescents preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid Ohio Driver's License.
• Agreement with the Central Ohio Youth for Christ and Gracehaven Standards of Conduct and Statement of Faith.

• Ability to manage medication and ensure proper administration.
• Experience with trauma-informed care.
• Flexibility and adaptability.
