About the role

The Nurse Resident RN St Catherine Garden City NICU position is located at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. This role is part of the Mountain Region Support and is open to candidates who are licensed RNs with zero to twelve months of professional nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care to patients across the lifespan and care continuum.
• Administer treatments, track vitals, educate patients and families, and play a key role in ensuring patients feel seen, heard, and cared for.
• Engage in a comprehensive, evidence-based Nurse Residency Program to support growth and professional development.
• Utilize current evidence-based practice knowledge, the nursing process, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to provide care.
• Achieve optimized outcomes in medication therapy and clinical treatment by providing clinical skills necessary for patient care.
• Take steps to reduce risks faced by patients in a healthcare environment.
• Behave in a manner that supports colleagues, maintains respect, trust, and dignity, and takes accountability for own practice, delegated care, and coordination of care delivery.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
• Active License as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State in which s/he will be practicing or the state of primary residency if the state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
• BLS certification - American Heart Association.
• Additional certifications may be required based on population(s) served and services provided.

Qualifications

• Graduated and licensed prior to October 26, 2026.
