Nurse Resident/Registered Nurse - Orthopedic Unit - 36 hours per week - 12 hour Midnight shift

Nurse Residency Program designed to assist novice nurses in becoming competent professionals. Program includes academic and clinical faculty facilitation, peer groups, competency reviews, and workshops.

Unit Overview

• 36-bed Orthopedic and Neurosurgery Unit
• Serves patients undergoing elective or emergent surgery for total joint replacement, fracture fixation, and spinal fusion/decompression
• Utilizes an Ortho Rapid Recovery unit for quick throughput for certain surgical patients
• Collaborates with Physical Therapy and Physicians for same-day discharges

Education/Experience Required

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Less than 6 months of experience in a related area of nursing practice
• Successfully passes NCLEX-RN and holds an active, unrestricted license within 60 days of hire
• Health care provider certification (BCLS) required
