Nurse Residency Spring 2027- Operating Room Track
About the role
The ChristianaCare Nurse Residency Program is designed for students graduating December 2026 or sooner, joining us on June 1, 2026 for an Operating Room Nurse Residency Open House. Applications will be open until August 16th.
Responsibilities
- Learn the foundations and principles of surgery and patients' surgical experience
- Engage in simulation and didactic education
- Participate in peer support and preceptor-led clinical experiences
- Develop critical thinking, evidence-based practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, effective communication, quality and safety, and professional development
- Complete State Boards and obtain Delaware RN licensure
- Commit to working at ChristianaCare for two years, with 15 months on the unit of hire
Requirements
- Graduating from an accredited nursing school before March 2027 (BSN preferred)
- BLS certification
- Eligibility for Delaware RN licensure or Compact RN licensure
How to apply
Submit a cover letter expressing interest in the Operating Room Nurse Residency, addressed to Karen Brady. Include a resume, unofficial transcript, and two clinical recommendations. Complete digital tasks (SkillSurvey and Hey Milo) by August 25th. Interviews will occur in September and October, with positions starting in March 2027.
Pay and Benefits
- Flat rate pay of $38.61/hr plus applicable differentials

Timeline
