About the role

The Ranch nursing team at Enterhealth is responsible for providing initial and ongoing clinical care to residential patients. This role requires collaboration with clients, families, therapists, and other members of the multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform initial and ongoing physical and psychosocial assessments according to state regulations and the standards of nursing practice.
  • Create, implement, and revise client-specific plans of care.
  • Collaborate with clients, families, therapists, providers, and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Accurately and timely administer prescribed medications.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of vital signs and conditions.
  • Provide treatment education to clients and families.
  • Ensure the provision of age and culturally appropriate care.
  • Participate in the orientation and mentoring of new staff members.
  • Serve as a member of the support team and provide appropriate guidance regarding client monitoring and care within the scope of the license.
  • Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of and adherence to Enterhealth Policies and Procedures.
  • Perform an admission clinical evaluation, considering pre-admission information from the intake team.
  • Work closely with the Admissions & Special Projects Director, Clinical Director, and Therapist to ensure appropriate patient placement.
  • Prepare new patients for medical evaluations by the NP and/or MD.
  • Utilize EMR and monitor Quality Assurance activities.
  • Maintain professional demeanor in dress, attitude, and performance in support of the community milieu.
  • Support the mission, philosophy, and goals of Enterhealth.
  • Protect the organization's reputation by keeping information confidential.
  • Enhance the organization's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishments and exploring opportunities to add value.
  • Perform other duties as required by the supervisor and/or the Director of Nursing.
  • Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in EMR.
  • Current Texas licensure - RN or LVN.
