Responsibilities

• Follows standards of care as outlined by Vail Health and Colorado Nurse Practice Act.
• Safeguards patient, staff, and hospital administration confidentiality.
• Maintains competence in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to ensure high standards of patient care.
• Provides patient education on current medical issues and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Delegates care appropriately according to Colorado statute.
• Ensures patient documentation complies with accreditation and regulatory compliance standards.
• Displays and promotes professional, courteous, and collaborative interactions with patients, families, providers, staff, other Vail Health departments, and leadership.
• Trains and educates patients on current medical issues and healthy lifestyle choices.
