Nurse Practitioner, Pulmonary Medicine (NE)

Location: Murfreesboro, TN – Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital

About the role

Ascension Saint Thomas Medical Partners is adding a PRN sleep nurse practitioner to our team. In collaboration with a physician, you will provide individualized primary healthcare services by diagnosing and treating certain acute or chronic health conditions.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history and perform assessment via observation, interview, and examination.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies.
• Perform preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations, and patient care.
• Provide direct treatment and management of health conditions via referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.
• Counsel and educate patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options, and community resources.
• Document delivery of healthcare and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network nursing policy.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing required.
