About the role

St. Luke's Magic Valley Anesthesia Associates seeks a Certified Nurse Anesthetist to join a busy and collegial team.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality health care under the supervision of a designated physician
• Provide care through diagnosis, clinical judgment and management to restore, maintain, and improve the health status in accordance with practice policies and scope of practice
• Perform history and physical exams, acute and episodic care
• Order pertinent lab and diagnostic studies with interpretation and consultation
• Work in collaboration with other members of the health care team in the best interest of the patient
• Determine appropriate activity restrictions, if indicated
• Provide health education, counseling, and training to patients, clients, and others as requested and needed
• Establish and document health care plan and prognosis, maintaining records of each case that are sufficiently complete for any healthcare professional to evaluate and follow treatment plan and subsequent outcome(s)
• Maintain confidentiality in matters relating to patient/family
• Interact with patients/families with a variety of developmental and socio-cultural backgrounds
• Provide information to patients and families to reduce anxiety and convey an attitude of acceptance, sensitivity, and caring
