About the role
The Nurse Practitioner manages the care of a specified group of patients in accordance with mutually agreed-upon protocols and within the policies and procedures established by the Department of Nursing, the American Nurses Association, and NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group (NYPMG).
Responsibilities
- Manage care for a specified group of patients in accordance with mutually agreed-upon protocols and policies.
- Collaborate with physicians and other health care professionals to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic conditions under the supervision of a physician.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab work and imaging studies.
- Prescribe medications and treatments based on clinical judgment and evidence-based guidelines.
- Provide preventive care services, including immunizations and screenings.
- Document patient care in electronic health records (EHRs) accurately and timely.
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities to maintain competency and stay current with best practices.
- Conduct patient education sessions and counseling on various health topics.
- Interpret and apply relevant laws, regulations, and standards related to nursing practice.
Requirements
- Preferred Criteria:
- National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the specialty of practice.
- Three years of primary care experience.
- Required Criteria:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Master’s Degree in the specialty of practice or completed alternative certification requirements for graduates of nurse practitioner programs prior to April 1, 1989.
- Current NYS RN license.
- Current NYS Nurse Practitioner license.
Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited nurse practitioner program.
- Experience in primary care settings preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of electronic health record systems.
Skills

- Effective problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in computer applications, particularly EHR systems.

Pay
$157,500 - $180,758/Annual
Schedule
Full time 40-hour workweek Monday-Friday with one shift of 11:00 AM-7:00 PM may vary.
Location
Located at 1985 Crompond Road, Cortlandt Manor, NY - Northern Westchester County.
