About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant - Texas to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will provide business-aligned guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management. You will partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations. Responsibilities
- Co-facilitate virtual shared medical and individual appointments
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for new patients
- Develop assessment and treatment plans for patient issues
- Monitor and prescribe medications for substance use disorders
- Educate patients and provide necessary referrals based on individual needs
- Ensure compliance with confidentiality standards and HIPAA regulations
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation in the EMR system
Qualifications
- 1+ years as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant required
- Active Texas NP/PA license is mandatory
- Preference for additional active licensure in California or New Mexico
- At least 1 year experience in addiction medicine needed
- Experience with SUD medication prescribing required
- Familiarity with harm reduction practices is essential
- Active DEA license and current BLS certification are necessary
