About the role
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (VSP) applies advanced education and clinical competencies to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The role works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial, providing health promotion and maintenance through the diagnosis and treatment of acute illness and chronic conditions. Prescribes medication, examines patients, diagnoses illnesses, and provides treatment. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance.
Responsibilities
- Works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
- Provides health promotion and maintenance through the diagnosis and treatment of acute illness and chronic conditions.
- Prescribes medication, examines patients, diagnoses illnesses, and provides treatment.
- Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance.
- Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision.
- Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Nursing or completion of a PA program with board certification.
- Willing to cover 2 clinic sites CenterWell N. Augusta, SC and W. Augusta, GAMinimum availability 3 days per week- Monday-Friday.
- Minimum availability 3 days per week- Monday-Friday.
- Active, unrestricted NP or PA license in Georgia and South Carolina.
- At least 1 year of Primary Care experience.
- Basic computer proficiency (EMR, email, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters in Science of Nursing /PA
- Experience in value-based care, primary care or Medicare Advantage settings.
- Familiarity with HEDIS quality indicators and Medicare guidelines.
