About the role

Saratoga Hospital Medical Group - Pain Management seeks a full-time NP/PA to join their team in a collegial environment. The position provides comprehensive Interventional Pain Management services in an ambulatory setting in Saratoga Springs.

Responsibilities

  • Performs initial history and follow-up examinations
  • Provides ongoing care, orders diagnostic tests, and consultations
  • Provides education and counseling to patients and families
  • Works closely with the team and has a reasonable amount of autonomy in care and medical decision-making
  • Orders and reviews diagnostic tests
  • Prescribes and manages pharmacological therapies
  • Determines effectiveness of the plan of care through documentation of patient care outcomes
  • Reassesses and modifies plan of care as necessary to achieve medical and health goals
  • Makes referrals to other health professionals and community agencies
  • Admits/discharges to appropriate service
  • Participates in team meetings and conferences
  • Serves on departmental and multidisciplinary committees
  • Develops and participates in projects and quality improvement programs
  • Maintains current level of knowledge relative to professional practice
  • Maintains required professional documentation
  • Acts as a resource to staff and implements educational programs

Requirements

  • NYS-licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Experience in primary care or prior pain management experience is preferred
