Nurse Practitioner Partner for Local Primary Care or Specialty

Roles and Responsibilities

• Affords patient health assessments through interviews and physical examinations
• Documents patient care services in patient and department records
• Provides outpatient services at scheduled appointments
• Offers ongoing health maintenance, health education, and disease prevention screenings for adults
• Conducts well-women gynecological exams, including appropriate screening, history, examinations, and education
• Shares patient education regarding disease processes and good health habits
• Maintains updated knowledge of immunization schedules, routine adult health maintenance recommendations, and clinic protocols
• Orders and evaluates laboratory and x-ray studies
• Completes required continuing medical education and maintains NP/PAs licenses in good standing
• Maintains current prescriptive authority license, OBNDD, and DEA number
• Prescribes medications within the limits of the formulary
• Involves in community health screening and disease prevention activities
• Notifies Medical Director of complex cases, poor outcomes, or involvement of other agencies in patient cases
• Interacts effectively with patients, families, clinic team members, and others
• Completes delegated tasks, projects, and committee functions within appropriate timelines

Qualifications

• Current valid license as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of Oklahoma
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Excellent clinical and diagnostic skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Dedication to providing high-quality patient care
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
