About the role

Obtain medical histories and perform physical examinations to diagnose and treat primary care level health problems, and provide gynecologic care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform orders and interpret laboratory tests as needed for diagnosis and treatment in accordance with CLIA guidelines.
  • Provide primary level gynecologic care, education, and guidance about contraceptive choices.
  • Participate in planning and implementing departmental programs to educate students and develop staff.

Requirements

  • A relevant master's degree
  • RN license in the State of Ohio
  • Nurse Practitioner Certification
  • Nurse Practitioner Certificate of Authority (COA)
  • Certificate to Prescribe (CTP) as issued by Ohio Board of Nursing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate

Additional Position Information

  • Requires a minimum of 1 year experience employed as a nurse practitioner in a college health, ambulatory care, urgent care or private physician's practice.
  • Ability to document and maintain health related records in accordance with university procedures.
  • Ability to promote the health maintenance and wellness of students and staff through health counseling, screening and the development of health awareness programs and activities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills in working with and educating a diverse university community.
  • Requires leadership responsibilities, directing and monitoring the work of students and/or temporary workers.

Physical Requirements

  • Light physical effort involving stooping and bending.
  • Occasional lifting of lightweight objects (25lbs).
  • Routine/occasional exposure to light chemical substances or hazards (radiation, chemicals, diseases, heights and moving parts).

Compensation

The compensation for this position is $41.82 hourly.
