Nurse Practitioner - Part-Time
About the role
Obtain medical histories and perform physical examinations to diagnose and treat primary care level health problems, and provide gynecologic care.
Responsibilities
- Perform orders and interpret laboratory tests as needed for diagnosis and treatment in accordance with CLIA guidelines.
- Provide primary level gynecologic care, education, and guidance about contraceptive choices.
- Participate in planning and implementing departmental programs to educate students and develop staff.
Requirements
- A relevant master's degree
- RN license in the State of Ohio
- Nurse Practitioner Certification
- Nurse Practitioner Certificate of Authority (COA)
- Certificate to Prescribe (CTP) as issued by Ohio Board of Nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate
Additional Position Information
- Requires a minimum of 1 year experience employed as a nurse practitioner in a college health, ambulatory care, urgent care or private physician's practice.
- Ability to document and maintain health related records in accordance with university procedures.
- Ability to promote the health maintenance and wellness of students and staff through health counseling, screening and the development of health awareness programs and activities.
- Strong interpersonal skills in working with and educating a diverse university community.
- Requires leadership responsibilities, directing and monitoring the work of students and/or temporary workers.
Physical Requirements
- Light physical effort involving stooping and bending.
- Occasional lifting of lightweight objects (25lbs).
- Routine/occasional exposure to light chemical substances or hazards (radiation, chemicals, diseases, heights and moving parts).

Compensation
The compensation for this position is $41.82 hourly.
