Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate, Walk in Care
About the Role
MaineHealth Waldo Hospital in Belfast, Maine is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join its Walk-In Care team in a per diem capacity. The ideal candidate will care for patients of all ages with minor medical issues and injuries on a walk-in basis. We seek an APP who thrives in a fast-paced environment, treating various medical conditions as part of a patient-centered team. Providers work collaboratively with Primary Care Providers. The facility is currently embedded in the Primary Care office located on the Waldo campus.
Pay
For internal candidates who currently hold a full-time or part-time role at MaineHealth, the pay rate is 120% of their current hourly rate and may include shift differentials. For external candidates or those who only hold per diem roles at MaineHealth, the rate is $80.00 per hour and may also include shift differentials.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Graduate of an accredited certified Family Nurse Practitioner’s program or graduate of an accredited Certified Physician Assistant program.
- Maine NP or PA License and DEA certification.
- ACLS and PALS preferred.
- Experience in emergency medicine, urgent care/walk-in care, or primary care is preferred.
- Two years’ experience as an NP/PA in ED, Urgent Care, or Primary Care is preferred.
